I want to represent India in Test matches. Avesh Khan wants to see India win after taking 35 wickets this year

Madhya Pradesh coach Chandrakant Pandit had a lengthy, difficult conversation with his players in the locker room as Andhra established a 151-run lead in the first inning. Madhya Pradesh needed to put up a remarkable fightback if they wanted to keep their crown.

We had a lengthy session on day three, and Pandit Sir made it abundantly plain that if we wanted to play like the reigning champions (MP), we had to dismiss them quickly enough for the batsmen to have a chance to reach at least 250 runs. We wanted to do it in some way to demonstrate that we are a champion squad, and fortunately it went according to plan," said Avesh Khan.

Avesh was the one who acted on his words. If MP were to take back control from Andhra, who had gained a 151-run lead, much hinged on him. In the second innings, Andhra was bowled out for 93 thanks to Avesh's 4 for 24. Despite needing 245 runs on the last day to win, MP prevailed by five wickets and advanced to the semifinals because to the strong starts from the openers Yash Dubey (58) and Himanshu Mantri (31) and vital contributions from Rajat Patidar (55).

Khan is hoping that his performance would aid in his return to India. He has participated in 15 T20Is and five ODIs for India, however he has fallen in the standings.

But it appears like better times are coming. A selector recently informed him that he is on the verge of making a comeback on behalf of India's coach Rahul Dravid.

"I got disqualified twice because I wasn't feeling well. People may think that I was pricey on a few instances, but in modern cricket, six out of ten times, bowlers have a terrible day. Although I'm not moaning or making excuses, that is the truth. I've forgotten everything now and am only in the here and now. Selection will take place when the time comes. Performance is under my control, but choice is not. In response to a question regarding India's call-up, Khan stated, "I have stopped thinking about it.

It's not like he didn't communicate with the team's management or the selectors. They all claimed that he is nearby and that his name is on their list. Despite the fact that the squad is in need of a pacer, there was nothing wrong with his bowling.

The Indore pacer is currently aiming for a Test call, though. He has already claimed 35 wickets this season.

"I've played white ball for India, but I want to play for the Indian Test team, so I'm putting in a lot of effort in that direction. How frequently do we see a team that is down in the Ranji Trophy bounce back to win games? I felt I had to step up for MP. If I'm capable, I must take the initiative to lead my team to victory. We played as a team today, and it was a true team effort," recalls Avesh Khan.
